Pro'ject Sound

  • Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts 88 Dalhousie Brantford, ON Canada (map)

Pro'ject Sound is an innovative performance project featuring stunning images and live piano music.  Sarah will be collaborating with Brantford photographers and also with a group of students to create images that reflect classical repertoire.

MORE INFORMATION

In the first part, photographs are projected in a thoughtfully choreographed exhibition during a live performance of piano music of Claude Debussy. Then Jean de Brunhoff's "Story of Babar the Elephant" comes to life with music of Francis Poulenc and projected illustrations of students from Ecole Dufferin School, all creating a giant musical storybook. Pro'ject Sound is a new way of hearing imagery and seeing music.

The Brant Camera Club originated in 1957 as the Brantford Guild of Colour Photography. Originally a colour slide club, the club has evolved along with the advent of digital photography. The club meets twice a month from September to June. Please see their website for more information: www.brantcameraclub.com
