Sarah Hagen returns to the Osprey Arts Centre to performs Bach’s formidable Goldberg Variations.
Cherished by many, the Goldberg Variations are emblematic of keyboard virtuosity, rich expression, and hardcore classical interpretation. Sarah will offer a short introduction to this marvellous and intense composition before playing the full work.
Sarah’s own recording of the Goldberg Variations was described by Whole Note magazine as “something to absolutely die for” and was the recipient of two Music PEI awards and two East Coast Music Award nominations.
To accompany the recording, Sarah created 32 original pieces of artwork to reflect the spirit of each movement. Prints will be available for viewing and purchase at this event.
