Sarah Hagen performs Bach’s formidable Goldberg Variations at ArtDog Gallery in London. In conjunction with the live performance will be a showing of 32 pieces of art Sarah created to accompany the 32 movements of the work.
Cherished by many, the Goldberg Variations are emblematic of keyboard virtuosity, rich expression, and hardcore classical interpretation. Sarah will offer a short introduction to this marvellous and intense composition before playing the full work.
Sarah’s 2021 recording of the Goldberg Variations was heralded by Whole Note Magazine as “something to absolutely die for” and won two 2022 Music PEI awards for Instrumental Recording of the Year and Album Art of the Year.
